Form is emptiness.
Emptiness is form.
Emptiness is not other than form.
Form is not other than emptiness.
For centuries these four sentences have echoed down the corridors of time.
What do these lines mean?
What do they have to say about how we live our lives today?
Surprisingly, these four lines, and the Heart Sutra, bring the reader directly into the very quality that makes a life of compassion possible, namely, the perfection of wisdom. But this wisdom is a mystery — it cannot be understood intellectually, but it can be known through experience.
Through a combination of meditation practice, reflective frameworks, and pointing out instructions, Ken guides participants into the mystery of the perfection of wisdom. Well versed in the Heart Sutra, Ken will draw on traditional and contemporary commentaries, including his recently published An Arrow to the Heart .
