Language and culture often obscure the practicality and richness of Tibetan Buddhism.

In this on-going series of talks and discussions, we will look at classical Tibetan Buddhism as it has been traditionally taught. I will also provide commentary on these teachings, explaining how they can be understood and practiced in contemporary urban America.

We will work with such classical texts as Jewel Ornament of Liberation, Treasury of Precious Qualities, and The Words of My Perfect Teacher.

The class will include reading assignments, discussions, and meditation practice based on the material under consideration. Because of the volume of material, we will meet weekly.
